Boy,we sure were patriotic then. It seemed that Americans were heartily supporting our boys overseas.

I think I can hear Roy Halee and Ken Schoen as the singers in this one

I loved seeing Gandy Goose’s family!!

Gandy's little goslings were so cute and it looks like their mom was Daisy Duck ! Some Terrytoons, including this one, have a really beautiful full bodied painting style that remind me of oil paintings. Maybe those incredible pinup girls were oil painted. You don't see such lifelike cheesecake images like that very often in cartoons, although here it was offset by a marriage scene. Finally some reasonably good gags about futuristic automation round out this very nice Terrytoon.

Once again, Terry's staff rises to the occasion during World War II......

Hey, this is actually a great wartime short. A lot of the things it predicts came to pass in the post-war years (although not exactly in the way it depicts them). The animation is exceptional for its time.

For WW2,Terry and his crew really got into the American spirit when they made this along with 1942’s All Out For V and both cartoons received Acadamy Award Nominations for Best Short Film-Cartoons.

Wish I could meet this person
The scene from 01:00-01:05 would later be reused and rotoscoped for the Heckle and Jeckle cartoon "The Rainmakers"
